Let our Art Collection take you on a trip around the world and elsewhere. We will travel back to 1st century Gandhāra, through to 16th century Florence before coming back home to Edinburgh. We will also look at how to collect an art work that won’t exist for another hundred years and how to tell the time on Mars.

Ani-Adventure – Animation Workshop

15:00-17:00, Reid Concert Hall

Come and join us for an animation adventure! Find out how everyone (even you!) can make an animation using some images, a camera and a record player… You can create your own animation and see it come to life on the screen. How will it turn out? No-one knows until they see the final product, that’s the adventure!

This workshop will be led by Jared Tayler, Programme Director for Edinburgh College of Art’s Animation programme.

Recommended for ages 8+, Families welcome

Question Your Perception – An Evening of Microadventures

Join us for an evening of adventure at Teviot Row House as we ask you to Question your Perceptions!

Take part in a series of “microadventures” including magic, chocolate tasting, rum and if you are brave enough bug-tasting! The evening will also feature some adventure-inspired crafts and the chance to find out more about the fascinating collections held by the University of Edinburgh! This one off spectacular event will inspire and astonish you – expect to expand your horizons and don’t forget to dress to impress in an adventure-themed outfit!
